Helping Women in Harrow to Launch Businesses

The Harrow Female Startup Accelerator Programme (HFSA) is a six-week business start-up programme of accelerated business support, coaching or mentoring, that will lead Harrow female residents to:

  • Develop their entrepreneurial skills 
  • Create a business plan
  • Develop a pitch deck for investment and raising finance
  • Be ready to launch their business

We are looking for 30 females based in the London Borough of Harrow who have a business idea or want to learn about self-employment options. We are delivering two cohorts:

Cohort 1 starts 23 September 2024

Cohort 2 starts 21st October 2024

How Does the Programme Work?

If you live in the London Borough of Harrow and have a business idea, or would like to explore and learn how to turn it into a viable business proposition, then look no further – join our programme!

Candidates will complete a registration form, have a chat with one of our business advisers, attend 4 workshops and 2 Peer-to-Peer sessions (mainly online, although face-to-face is available), and receive ongoing 1:1 support.

The coaching team is led by two female entrepreneurs and business mentors who have over 60 years experience between them. Our own co-founder, Naima Omasta-Milsom, will be joined by Lisa Maynheer, as they deliver a comprehensive programme of training and support to help you manifest your dreams into reality.

Places are limited and will be offered on a first-come first serve basis.

What's Included?

1:1 Business Advice and Support

Your assigned business adviser will work with you on a 1:1 basis (either online or in person), to help you create an actionable business plan and financial forecasts that will help you launch your venture and/or raise finance.

By having regular meetings with your adviser you can review your progress and receive up-to-date relevant advice.

Workshops/Webinars

To enhance your knowledge and to supplement the 1:1 sessions with your business adviser, we will be delivering webinars/workshops covering key areas such as Business Planning, Marketing, and Financial Forecasting/Budgeting.

Only participants of the programme will be invited to attend these workshops.

Peer Learning

These sessions offer you the opportunity to discuss and share key business problems with your fellow participants in a supportive environment. As a result, you may receive potential solutions/answers to your problems from your fellow participants, that you may not otherwise have thought of.

Peer Learning allows participants to create their own self-support group as they navigate their business journey.

Networking Events

With our networking events, not only will you get the opportunity to meet your fellow participants on the programme, but also the wider business community in Harrow.

You’ll have the chance to create business connections, explore new opportunities, and exchange knowledge. Building connections is the secret to the long term success of your business idea.
